FORAGING EDU TOURS
A seasonal Educational Approach to Regenerating Landscapes
CURRENT TOURS
OPEN FOR BOOKINGS
WINTER
We venture into the fresh water mountain streams of the Western Cape to try our luck at catching invasive species of fresh fish such as trout and bass.
A catch, release and tag program for indigenous species allows us to help conservation by documenting indigenous species within our tour.
The fresh water systems host an abundance of aquatic edibles and we will wade through this ecosystem looking at invasive and indigenous species and how we can help restore these indigenous fauna within this eco system.

SPRING
A coastal Foraging Edu Experience showcasing the coastlines bio diversity, marine edibles and ecological importance and how we can make a difference and Forage responsibly.
We wonder through the inter tidal zones on the low tides and leave the sub tidal zones as we should as this is how this ecosystems regenerates its self.
Low tides present the opportunity to forage in the ecosystem, diving sub tidal zones is not responsible and we choose not to explore these areas for preservation of these delicate coral reef systems except for research purposes or Kelp Forest Ecosystem Tours to educate on this ecosystem and showcase its restoration process.

AUTUMN
A season that brings with it a bounty of edible mushrooms, fallen nuts and perennials that sprout up in this Ecosystem.
We embrace some ancient Elders of 1000 of years old and search tree top canopies for fruit and other botanical edibles in some of the last indigenous forests in the southern tip of Africa including variable afro montane forest areas.
This experience is like a novel of a fairy tail with every corner hosting an enchantment of wonders where ever leaf turned could showcase something truly amazing and every hole in the tree could be the door to the fairy kingdom.
